@CasinoNancy (twitter account) has a source in which she was told that Springsteen will be releasing a new album by the end of 2014 with a November/December release, and also a new tour starting back up again in 2015. This is what I had in mind happening, he releases a new album late this year or early next year then heads back out onto the road. The 2015 is said to include Europe which did not get a show during the 2014 "High Hopes tour." Interestingly enough, the new album was said to have a country or folk feel to it which Ron Aniello also pointed to saying in a Rolling Stone interview not too long ago. Bruce did mention during the Wrecking Ball tour that he wanted to go back to a Seeger Sessions type of style so it fits the rumored album sound. Hopefully we will learn more fairly soon.
We will leave this rumor with a quote from Ron Aniello during a Rolling Stone interview who produced Wrecking Ball and High Hopes: "There's an amazing record there. I don't think I'm suppose to talk about what is not on the table, but there's a masterpiece there." Who knows if this rumored new album will be the masterpiece that Ron was talking about.
