Lawrence Kirsch, the photographer, whose work is in “The River collection,” has recently revisited his archives for images that Springsteen and his record label Sony selected for “The Ties That Band: The River Collection” multi-disc box set that was released in December 2015. Three of Kirsch's photographs from the original 1980 River tour were reproduced in the 200 page coffee table book of 200 rare or previously unseen photos and memorabilia. The triptych of photos features Bruce, Clarence, Miami Steve and Garry.

And more recently, another one of Kirsch's original River Tour photographs was selected by NUGS, the company that works with Bruce to release live music from his shows. Bruce Springsteen's generous gesture to snowbound followers this winter was the first time many music fans became aware of, a website that offers concert experiences to those who can't make it to the arena. Kirsch's image was used for the digital and physical album cover for the album release of the February 25, Buffalo, New York performance. The same image was used by Live Nation to create a limited edition poster sold exclusively at the Buffalo, New York concert. Springsteen has eight top sellers from his River tour out of ten listed on "top downloads" list! Lawrence's image used for the Buffalo show is below. Nice work Lawrence!
