Turns out that Bruce Springsteen originally signed off on the band having a new stage for the Wrecking Ball tour. I must say that the concepts looked interesting but not mind blowing like a U2 type of stage. Nonetheless, it was a change from the stage that the band has been using now essentially since the Magic tour in 2007. Yes, the stage since then has evolved ever so slightly since then but it would've been nice to see a change. In this article it says that Bruce agreed to have the stage for the tour, in fact they built a real life version of it in Asbury Park's Convention Hall for Bruce to observe. He really liked the lighting and the stage itself, so he agreed to use it. Apparently, about two hours later, Bruce changed his mind and they tweaked the same stage they have been using. Looks like the stadium stage would have actually been a 360 degree type of stage found in arena shows. Interesting to say the least. Below are some pictures of what the stage would have looked liked on this past tour. Click here to view the source and the entire article.
