2013 Tour Starts in Brisbane

The 2013 tour has officially begun for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band as they took the stage in Brisbane, Australia. The show kicked off with "We Take Care of Our Own" but then led into a tour debut of Brisbane's own "Just Like Fire Would." This would end up being the only tour debut of the night but the setlist still had crowd favorites such as Hungry Heart, Spirit in the Night, Because the Night, Thunder Road, Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark, etc. We were kind of expecting this type of setlist as the band has been off the road now for about three months but nonetheless I'm sure Australian fans were thrilled as the band has not been to the area in such a long time. We also saw the "Apollo Medley" jump in the setlist, which I think is fantastic live and glad to see that the Australian fans get to see it. Who knows if it will remain in the set, but I think that it probably will through at least the Australian leg. Overall, a great show with a very nice surprise tour debut. The band will be back in Brisbane on March 16!
